How I Survived Detox On A Raw Food Diet Plan

Raw Food Detox Diet – Day 6

Nothing really changed from yesterday. First week of my ‘easy’ raw food detox diet is coming to an end. I found a lot of interesting recipes for meals, bread, sauces that I’m going to use. But first let’s go into my meals.

Breakfast:

1 big green melon

Half of avocado

Green melon is pretty similar in taste to a honeydew melon. It’s almost as sweet as a yellow melon. I’m thinking into changing avocado to other source of fat. Avocado doesn’t taste that good :P Mixing it with smoothies or salads is the only way to go.

Lunch:

1 cup of wheatgrass juice with 2 apples and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

Mixing wheatgrass with apples can definitely help to reduce the wheatgrass intense aroma. Wheatgrass is a famous superfood in raw food community and it has a lot of benefits on your health. This meal totally filled me up although it seems like not a lot.

Snacks:

2 apples

15 almonds

Simple snack, enough to feel full. Apples goes well with any nuts, almonds are one of my favorite.

Dinner:

Large salad with kale, spinach, tomato, cherry tomatoes, celery, 2 tablespoons of flax seed oil, basil and parsley leaves

Salad dressing consisting of: 1 big tomato, half of lemon, 2 cloves of garlic, tablespoon of oil, handful of fresh basil leaves, handful of fresh parsley leaves, a pinch of stone salt

That’s the first time I did a dressing for myself. It may be more difficult to do a salad dressing all with raw food and without any diary ingredients. Still I found dozens of amazing dressing recipes online. I tried Tomato and basil salad dressing and it tasted really good. It has quite moderate, a bit spicy taste that will transform the taste of bitter salads. I added a bit too much of olive so it wasn’t the same as in the picture. I’m going to experiment with more salad dressings in the future.

One of the things I discovered are flax crackers. Flax crackers are made from a flax seed with some lemon and water. The thing you will need in order to make crackers is a dehydrator. Dehydrator can make any food dried, from vegetable, fruits and mushrooms. The price for a dehydrator goes from $50 to $500. You can go on Amazon and see the reviews of top selling products. I’m planning to buy some cheaper dehydrator as I would really like to add some bread, crackers with the salads. Bread is quite addictive food and even though I didn’t eat it for 6 days I’m still thinking about eating it. Being raw foodist you can make a bread from sprouts too. The example can be an italian bread.

  • Hey,i am a girl age 20,weigh about 175, no where near overweight about an average. My question is i wanna lose some stomach fat so I got a personal trainer which i do 3 times a week to help me do this. I also run 6 miles 6 days of the week and i don't eat any fast food or almost any prepared food, i usually make my own home cooked food all natural. So my question is why am I no longer able to cut off any pounds which I dont really want to do, and why cant i get the thin layer of fat on my abs and slightly on my pecs to go away. It almost unreal how much i work out and eat good food.
  • I've seen a lot about the raw food diet, but other than avoiding overly processed foods, I'm not sure why it's so beneficial? It also seems like a lot of effort for people, and it looks like it's difficult to create meals that are satisfying and leave one feeling full. Thanks
  • I am starting to feed my dog raw, but got a little worried when I started reading about parasites in raw food. So I wonder, if instead of fresh raw I decide to feed dehydrated raw, will it eliminate the chance of my dog getting parasites? Is dehydrated raw food less likely to have parasites in it as normal fresh raw meat. Thanks
  • I want to go on a raw food diet but I'm scared that I am going to lose a lot of weight. I am 5'3 and 115 pounds and I would like to stay that way. Is there a way I can maintain this weight on a raw diet. Thanks
  • I'm thinking of trying a raw food diet for my dog for the first time. I understand that dogs are much more resistant than humans when it comes to parasites and bacteria which may be in the raw meat. What are some precautions that I can take? I heard soaking the meet in apple cider vinegar for a bit will take care of any parasites, etc. Thanks.

  • Keep a positive attitude and congratulate yourself for taking the first step towards a thin life. Keep negativity out of your life whether it's your own negativity or others'.

Follow your plan but don't make it a big stressful deal. Don't make dieting more difficult than it actually is.

Keep yourself and your mind busy. Don't fall into the trap of eating out of boredom. Start a new hobby, take some classes, make new friends, read a book.

  • well normally it takes about a week until the body get ready of the bad stuff, normally you have to take juices, vegies, natural food, no fried, home style food is the best, also until you body digest system starts working normally, you have to drink lots of water, flush the system. Thanks...
  • My nutritionist has put me on a raw food diet because I am approaching morbid obesity and choloesterol is high. Im gung ho about it and determined. just wondering how long it would take for noticeable weight loss.Thanks.
  • The word calorie comes from the word Kilocalorie, which is simply a unit of energy, nothing more or less. Counting calories is not nearly as important as asking the question, “is this meant to be put in a human body?” If you are serious about losing weight and not gaining it back, this is the first question you will ask yourself before eating anything.” – that’s a passage from the book that started me off with the raw foods. Thahks..
  • I've been trying to find out more about the detox diet, but I can't seem to find enough about it online. Is anybody on this diet?Does it really work? I heard that you can lose ALOT of weight in such a really short time! Is that good for your body, considering that you are on a diet?
