The day started much later. I woke up at 10am so I slept around 10 hours. Lately I used to be sleeping 9-10h a day so that’s pretty normal. During the work out I felt less energy than normal and my form was a bit weaker. Nothing crazy though. Another day of vegan detox diet…
Here is what I ate for breakfast:
1 liter of grapefruit juice mixed with 1/2 avocado and 3 tablespoons of flax seed
Mixing grapefruit juice (freshly made) with avocado and flax seed was pretty interesting. Avocado didn’t really change the strong taste of grapefruit and flax seeds were floating over the smoothie. After that I felt very energetic and refreshed. I’m going to use this raw food recipe more often now.
Lunch:
2 apples
10 nuts like almonds, walnuts with lettuce, spinach, cabbage
I felt really full after that. I was surprised to discover that nuts come together really well with lettuce and other green leafy vegetables. 2 apples were a very nice addition as a snack.
Snacks:
Cucumber, parsley, tomato, 10 olives, 5 prunes, 5 dates and squeezed orange as a salad dressing
Great mix vegetables and some sweet dried fruits. I ate prunes and dates at the end as a dessert. Squeezed orange can work even better than lemon.
Dinner:
Large salad with 60% green-leafed vegetables and 1/2 cup of raw nuts, plus an orange blended with parsley and 20 olives
The problem is that I couldn’t get suggested sun-ripened olives. Olives I bought were salted and after a meal I didn’t feel to well. I will definitely stay away from olives and eat instead avocados or flax seed or oil from olives. On the whole the salad was ok. I’m still not a big fan of all salad meals but I hope it will change.
The day went pretty well. I didn’t feel as energetic as the second day. I was more low energy than normally. I guess my organism is still craving some of the foods I used to eat. I still have a thoughts about eating some bread, or yellow cheese or meat. I was used to eating them a lot in my previous diet. I fill pretty full most of the day but cravings for sweet and salt are still there. It will be interesting to see how it progresses. The thing is that I have no idea how my body will respond on this raw food detox diet. It’s one big unknown.
