How I Survived Detox On A Raw Food Diet Plan

Raw Food Detox Diet – Day 10

I made some research on green smoothies, vegetables juices and other things to speed up detoxification for raw food detox diet. Here is what I tried out today.

Green Smoothie

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 peach
  • 5 strawberries
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1 cup of water

I tried a vegetable juice before but it tasted really bad. Also my blender didn’t quite mix all the greens completely so the taste was pretty bad. In comparison this smoothie tasted really good!! Banana really overcome the bitter taste of spinach. In fact you won’t even feel that there is any spinach. The color may be not too convincing but this smoothie tastes like a banana smoothie. Peach and strawberries help to give more sweet taste. You can experiment with different berries and ingredients but banana is one of the fundaments of this raw food recipe.

Almond Milk

  • 40 soaked almonds
  • 8 pitted dates
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder

Chocolate Smoothie

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of raw cacao
  • 1 vanilla
  • 2 cup of almond milk

It tasted really good and creamy. I could drink just 1 cup and felt full. It has a lto of fat because of almonds.

Another thing I was researching today was green smoothies. I wanted to know the best recipes for tasty and rich smoothies that have a lot of green leafy vegetables and salads. I found a great book called “Green For Life” by Victoria Boutenko. She goes really in deep why green smoothies are the best solution and how to do them easily. It’s also one of the best selling books on Amazon in smoothies category.

Another site I discovered is called Juice Feasting. David Rainoshek, the creator of this site is a raw vegan for many years and developed many interesting concepts how to go around your first steps in raw food. He actually created a 92 day plan explaining everything about raw food with ready recipes  and even online community and coaching. He advocates to use only green smoothies in first 90 days of detoxification. It eases the detoxification process and accelerates the process. Additionally David came up with an idea called “Spectrum of Diet” that I found very interesting. You can find more about spectrum of diet here.

You can see the interview with David Rainoshek here

  • Half raw is fine, if that's all you can do right now. Don't feed kibble
and raw in the same meal. I feed my dogs a whole egg, shell and all,
about once a week as well as fish oil tablets a few times a week.
  • Transitioning over to a raw food
side can take several weeks to make the full transition. Your body will
feel noticeably different as you adjust to the new diet plan, so to
ease the transition, here are a few helpful tips:

  • The raw food diet
is an excellent idea for those looking to improve their health through
good eating. At first it sounds extremely restrictive, but once you go
raw you tend not to go back! The basic premise of raw food is that you
are getting food at its freshest and purest form. These foods definitely
    aren't processed.

  • Cutting soda out of your diet completely can save the average person 360 calories or more each day. Even diet soda, fruit juices, and whole milk can add unnecessary calories to your daily intake. Instead, drink lots of water and switch from whole to skim or even soy milk; the little things can make a big difference.
  • I have been on raw food diet for about 1 month and I've already lost some weight. Is there anyone else out there who has lost weight on raw foods? What other benefits did you experience? How long did it take you to see results?Thnaks

  • Well read what you're asking about: DETOX. A detox is cleansing the body of toxins. Your body is going through a change and it's making some adjustments. New cells are being formed, your organs are expermenting things that it's not use to. Those things your suffering from is normal and expected. That's a sign that it's working. As your body gets use to cleansing processes you'll probably not experience them again.
  • "Detox Diets", although super popular really don't do a hole hell of a lot, epically if you go right back to mac and cheese as soon as your done. Eat right for life, that's the only surefire way to get on track with your health.
  • Most raw foodists actually don't do it for the weight loss, and I'm not sure if there is any significant weight loss anyway. I don't think you should start all that immediately if you haven't been exercising regularly (not all at once anyway). You actually seem pretty healthy... so... good luck with your diet! =)
  • I wanted to thank you for this enjoyable read!! I definitely loved every little bit of it. I have you bookmarked your blog to look at the latest stuff you release.
